Malta Jan. Trade Deficit Narrows

Wednesday, Malta's National Statistics Office announced that the trade deficit stood at EUR 46.1 million in January, narrowing from EUR 124.9 million deficit recorded a year ago. In December, the trade deficit was EUR 69.3 million.

Exports increased EUR 24.6 million to EUR 140.5 million in January, while imports decreased EUR 54.2 million to EUR 186.6 million.
